Thanks for the warning, bdub, I would not even consider this vehicle.
But, purely as a customIzed GMC it looks very special, don't you think ?
I think if one considers a MH from those listing, asking here for advice and information, would the right way to do it.
Or perhaps someone could even ask a fellow GMC'r nearby to have a look at it, and pay their expences.

Many GMC Transmodes were sold without interiors to upfitters who used them
for airporters, mobile offices, astronaut transport and support, Radio
remote studios, Movie vehicles, and the like. Big history here. Party bus,
tail gating vehicle, lots more. Also promotion vehicles like the
Coca-Cola's. I think Jim Bounds has a coach he calls Larry that was a post
office.

'Larry' was a mobile post office, used to support public events. When the post office employees retired, the P.O. also retired the GMC. Many conversions were done by 'Wolf' for specialized GovT contracts. Eglin Air Force Base had several built as mobile telemetry vans for missle tests, etc. they had 19" rack mounts installed and two Onan 6kw, one on each side. No propane.
There was at least one Funeral GMC built.

Hello Tom,
Thanks for the interesting info.
I knew about the transmodes, but not that they were so often used in so many different "modes"
Is there a separete source on the internet, where there are more pictures and info about them.
I am curious about all shapes these GMC were used.

There was one here in minnesota used as a mobile city hall or office or something
Pretty much empty inside, I drove it, it felt like a racecar, so light and tight.
It was also extremely well maintained, still had the original rubber boot on the steering CV joint.
The new owner had plans on making it into a party bus, not sure if he ever did. I haven't seen him in a while.

Guys, this one was at a used car lot in Mesa, AZ about 6-8 years ago. I drove it. Was a dog, even with Fuelie. The bondo was all cracking around where the original windows were. The only two positives I came away with were the integration of the Ranger Tail lights and the door hinges, which I surmise came from a Gun safe. At least they look like the ones on mine. They made for a totally flush door with no hinges.
It had a lot of leaks. The wall fabric was all stained.

They are all photos I took myself.
The photos in the ad were taken by the dealership in front of the building my shop was in. They liked to photograph their cars here. I nearly bought a nice fox bodied 86 mustang convertible with wicked low miles/use due to that!!!
