Scott. When I drove your GMC in Cedar Rapids. The engine felt like the cams torque range was higher than stock for a 455. So to get into that good cam torque curve, and higher manifold vacuum. Thus better gas milage. I'd go 3:70. Higher RPM's for the 455 really isn't the issue. You want to match the FD to that cam torque curve.
