Just finished having 6 HT3s mounted on my Alcoas at Farm and Fleet. I took 3 there at a time and brought back 3 loose LTXs each trip. Did first road test of 5 miles and first impressions are good. Very smooth though maybe a bit harder riding than my 12 year old LTXs which never had a ride or balance issue. Tread pattern is very similar except outer rows are continuous not blocks. I would think maybe less squirm and better in crosswinds but maybe worse at venting water, though hydroplaning is less of an issue on heavy vehicles. I got the the buy 3 get one free deal so hard to beat. My old ROWL LTXs look brand new so hoping to sell to a 3500 duelly guy who doesn't do a lot of high speed highway. She does look plain to me with blackwalls though.

I've been running those tires on the four rear positions for a little over a year now, exclusively in the Southwest, with no problems to report. They have over 7,000 miles on them as of the trip we are currently on.

Carl Stouffer, currently on location at Homolovi State Park, Winslow, AZ on our way home from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Thanks Mike!

We went into town and had lunch at the Turquoise Room at La Posada, One of the few remaining Fred Harvey Hotels in the West. We then went over to "Standing on the Corner Park" and took a few selfies (one in front of the flatbed Ford)

For anyone traveling through AZ on I-40, a stop at La Posada is a MUST! It is "Mary Colter's masterpiece" and the restaurant is world class (believe it or not) Lunch is a little less expensive than dinner, and the regional fare is unbeatable. I had a Navajo Taco with Lamb Posole', and Prickly Pear gelato for dessert. Kathy had a bowl of their Signature Soup, corn bread, and salted caramel gelato.

Yum!

Off to Payson in the morning then on home on Saturday.
