I haven;t installed mine yet. a little different than yours.
I was thinking bout mounting mine in the door for the compressor. !2v right there so easy for that.
I have to make a hole to mount mine and have been holding off on that.
1977 Kingsley 455 as stock as it gets except lots of Ragusa parts

Ya it needs to be low. At least 4" from floor but not more than 20". And it says not within 12" of opening windows/doors.
An ideal spot would be at the bottom of the side cupboard/vacuum door...technically it is 12" from the door...but it is still right by it. I was thinking to cheat and put it under the couch..but it might push that 4"...
