One of ours is blown. Is there a replacement motor that can be gotten or do you have to replace the entire vent with a new system? I'm looking to do that one day but not this year...figured it would be hopefully easier to get a replacement motor?

Any of the modern 14" square roof vents will fit with a little careful trimming of the roof and headliner. The actual framing of the GMC roof is a 14" hole framed in already, so you do not have to cut any of the framing.
I have no knowledge of chasing down the original motor. Maybe there is a reliable source, other than buying a used one. I suspect another 40 year old motor would just be another future failure point.
Fantastic Fans are popular within the GMC community. Max air fans from Camping World work also.

Travis,
If it is the original one with round corners, the top will start cracking
soon and there are no real replacements other than a one that will have 4
corners that do not seal.
There are few options to consider, Max Fan has one that you can leave open
even if it is raining,

I have a spare original roof vent motor that came with my coach. I powered it up yesterday and it does work. It's yours for the price of postage.
