Well, I luck out (again). We were in Walmart. (I do buy things there as well as sleep.)
Amid the bicycle toys was a water bottle holder from a company 50 Strong. (5$) www.be50strong.com
It looked a better size than most. No surprise, they sell skinny water bottles.
It was a good size and easy to mount - too.

I bought a 2' length of 3" ID PVC pipe, Cut it in half and then cut away part of the end so there is just a stub to screw to the wall. I put a piece of rubber in to keep it from rattling. Works great. Snug but easy to get out.

I have had several of those same 16 oz. extinguishers for many years. They are made by the same company but logoed with a different brand name from long before Jim got in the extinguisher business.
I have one each in my truck, Blazer, Laurie's Jimmy, airplane, and in the back of the GMC. I used a $5.00 bicycle water bottle mount from Walmart to install them. The ones I have are steel (Walmart has some plastic ones) and probably the same that you have. I did form them a little to get them to grip the extinguishers better.
If you are buying Jim's Firefight 16 oz. extinguishers, I recommend this mount which is probably the same one that Matt is recommending.
