heater core removal? [message #302268]

Any helpful hints on removing the heater core? I don't
see any screws or fasteners (at least that I can get at), but it
seems to be firmly attached somehow. Do you have to remove the
whole AC box just to get the heater out??

If you have the front cover off, there are 2 vertical straps holding the core in. One on either side of the core. The screws would be above and below each "tank". They take a 5/16 socket and long extension. If it is like mine was, there is a lot of crud there. A flashlight would help locate them.
