It's been a busy few days, but the Fitech 600 is now up and running in my GMC with full spark control using a MSD distributor.
Startup was instant even on the first one. I am thoroughly impressed so far.
More details tonight after I tweak and get everything the way I want it.

That's great, Justin. Waiting to hear how it went. Want to go this route on my 74. A write up/ parts list/ lessons learned when you get to it would be great.

I plan on doing a full blog writeup in the next day or so, but install was fairly simple. The hardest part was removing the old distributor, thing was so stuck in there I had to break it apart to get it out!
For now here's a parts list of everything I used.

Fitech 600 HP Kit
Mr Gasket 1932 Square bore to quadrajet adapter
Fitech Fuel Command Center Kit
MSD 8566 Pro Billet Distributor (locked out per the instructions in the box)
MSD Blaster 2 Coil + the wire to connect it to the dizzy
Coil Bracket (Advanced Auto)
5' of 3/8" fuel line
Various small stainless hose clamps (fitech doesn't include enough for some stupid reason)
1 5/8 -3" Stainless Hose Clamps (2) to connect the O2 sensor (I'm doing headers later so I opted for the bolt on instead of welding it (temporary))
A few feet of different colored wire to extend the wires (I needed red white and black)
Ring terminals for 18-22 gauge wire
Heat shrink wrap 1/4" or smaller
Grommets for bringing the wires through the firewall

You'll need to adapt the 1/4" holley style throttle cable hole on the fitech to the 1/4" connector on your throttle cable (I turned an adapter on the lathe, but you can buy one)
You'll also need a choke blocking plate if you still have the stock choke (I just made one from 3/16 plate I had sitting around and cut a gasket from gasket material, but you can buy one)

Special tools needed:

Soldering Iron
Solder
Heat gun
7/8" Hole saw
Grinder/dremel to cut the transmission kickdown arm off the fitech to clear the manifold

The install is very straightforward and well documented.
