Hi Johnnie, if we have a coach by then, Willie and I would love to come.
Please remind me how to contact the campground? I found Lake Louisa State
Park..is that it? Thanks, Nancy

Lake Louisa State Park it is. Here's the reservation page, they use an outside agency:

http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/lake-louisa-state-park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=FL&parkId=281108

I think we're so far reserved on the C loop, but the campground is walkable without a problem. If you don't plan on doing the entire week, probably some of the reserved spaces are open for part of it.

Some of the ladies usually descend on Ikea at some point. Most of us hit SkyCraft one day and spend money. Saturday and Sunday are the annual AKC Championship shows, and during the day, Meet The Breed is held both days. If you've an interest in any AKC recognized breed, there will normally be a booth with dogs and information. This is why I go down there, last year and this year I've nobody to show. There will also be Performance trials, which don't require pure bred dogs, in fact 'mutts' usually win most of them. There are also all - breed shows and single breed shows from Tuesday on. You can stay immersed in dogs for the week if you wish.

I have charged my Orlando bud with finding up a couple of ethnic restaurants around the park. Last year we did Korean and Italian - both small excellent eateries - plus several of us taking a night and cooking. Whatever we do Saturday night, my Meet The Breed folks join us. Last year we had three or four cooks show their skills plus a leftover night. Any more formality, it wouldn't be as much fun. Reserve a space, and of the coach isn't ready to go, rent or tent, or cancel and get a refund.

johnny, do you think we'll have any bear visitors? They caught three
last year (but not the one they were looking for).

I have my bear whistle. I don't know if they hang around Lake Louisa or not. It's across town about 40 miles from one park to the other. A savvy bear could make the trip.. or take a cab.

Reminds me -- in Yellowstone they say you can tell the type of bear from the scat. Grizzly scat has whistles and bells in it.

Available sites are down to 6 in the C circle, 16 total. Reserve now, if you can't make it, eat the (small) cancellation charge. SkyCraft Are Us!

When we had WDBO - WWKA, we had a commercial account with them. Great resource. If you bought personal stuff, you gave the bookkeeper the invoice and the money and it was covered.

As of this morning, Sept 1, there are only 19 sites available out of a total of 71 sites. There are only 3 near the GMCers who have made early reservations. If you have any interest, execute your plan now.
See you there.

And, my man Bohannon has found us an Eyetralian joint in Clermont which gets good reviews. So one night - maybe Saturday so the Meet The Breed ladies can join us - we can do Italian. He found some other places which look good also. I'll do Almost Famous chickens one night. Corn onna cob and salad. Should be fun.

OK, there is one (1) site in the park available 12 - 19DEC, on the A loop, site 002 if anyone else wants to join us. Likely there are more available for parts of the week.
Anyhow, it's time to figure who gonna provide what when and if. I propose to barbecue Almost Famous Chicken and boil some corn either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, depending on what nights someone else might offer a dish. Yall speak up. You might also plan on a side on nights when there's a main. Saturday, I will take my Meet The Breed folks to dinner at an Eyetralian joint in Clermont, as always ever body is is encouraged to join us. So far, it's been a fun evening. There might also be some place strange like the Korean joint we found last year - Galbavy, do you know of any?
Let's kind halfway figure out what attractions are of interest. We need to go see Bounds new place one day, I'll ask him to post when's convenient. SkyCraft and Ikea are ready to welcome our money pretty much any time.
Thoughts?

We will arrive Sunday early afternoon. Bringing large Crackpot, will do something warming, depending upon weather. Very wet right now. Have firewood in hand, enough for a start.

We'll do Eastern Carolina BBQ 'traditional' (vinegar-butter-based pulled pork, buns, slaw, potatoes, pies) meal again. I'll take Wednesday but can easily shift to another day if needed.

OK, I got Tuesday, RC gots Wednesday. We can surely do leftovers one night. Eyetralian Saturday, so Monday is either 'feed yourself' or 'lets find somewhere as cool as the Korean joint we found last year'. Some of you are arriving Sunday, can you scope out the area for something new, exciting, and different?
