Called Applied and tried to order one of the 15,000 BTU Atwood non ducted A/C's today and was told they are no longer available? Looking around it seems they are listed as out of stock everywhere. Whoever Nick talked with claims the #15026 unit is 'history'. Anyone else hear about this? I wonder if there was a problem with the unit? The ducted version is available so I'd assume the basic system is OK. It seems a real shame if we have lost the option of the higher BTU units. I wonder how difficult adapting the ducted unit to the non ducted inside vent assembly would be?
If anyone has compared the two, it would be nice to hear about it.

It has been a year now since i installed my atwood.

They did change the number, i think that may be your and nicks problem. I think i ran into same thing last year, and new number was more expensive then old number.

Here is where i purchased it from:
http://www.my12voltstore.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=15028-15022

Notice the 15028 number.

To answer question #2. I believe upper unit is same for ducted and non-ducted. Pretty sure same part number.

It is the lower assembly that is different.

The information listed claims that is a ducted unit. But it does show the lower used with it. It is quite confusing. Applied's supplier apparently doesn't understand the number system either.
I did find the 15033 although it uses a Black housing and did order it earlier (was looking for the white). Another site showed it as a non ducted system, go figure.

Hal,
We deal with the largest Ws. Distributor, but have acct. with others that
supply them, let me see.
Atwood was either acquired by anther company, or they acquired Dometic, so
they are streamlining their line up.
Not sure of that but when I was in New Orleans in Feb. that was the message
I was told.
I'll get back to you.

Atwood was acquired by Dometic in 2014. There are always a lot of
changes in the RV supply industry. This is from my local newspaper.

Right now their sales reps are as confused as we are but they are realizing
that the Dometic name is prominent.
There are no more Atwood air unit in the warehouse dist.

The Atwood ACs are still available and the 15026 is still a valid number.. That a non-Ducted 15k In White.. The issue is that this model is not in stock at this time... Dometic is expecting them the First week in June... Just a heads up...
I happen to work for Dometic....

Know this is an old thread, but does anyone know of Atwood ACs are available again? Post above says Dometic expected more Atwoods in by early June...

It is completely right in waiting for the Atwood.
I have the Atwood 15k up front and the Coleman Mach8 low profile 15k in the rear.
The Atwood smokes the Coleman and at half the noise and price.....If I could do over again, I would of gone with 2 Atwood's. They are that good.
Good choice.... Scott
