"I watched some of their videos when they had them posted.
They low balled everyone and collected the motorhomes.
I am pretty sure they bought one off an older guy that was living in his
for a really low amount.
The ones they bought that were just needing to be moved, I have no issues
with, but when it was someone's home and they low balled him, that is when I
stopped watching the videos.
I would not trust these guys, however, if I had the money and the space,
and the means, I would offer $10,000 for everything, and give the old guy
his
GMC back if I could."
Ok, I am/was somewhat interested in a life change and this *could* be
interesting. I spoke with this guy. Interesting story if it is true, and I
am tentatively scheduled to take a look tomorrow.
First, there is no business. What you'd be buying, is 9-10 motorhomes in
various states of repair/disrepair, marrying a $1200/month (or more) lease
with a couple buildings, spare engines, trans, FD, and "Intellectual
Property Rights" (to what, he could not explain) and 2-3 buildings (one
with a couple paint booths). He filmed GypsyRV in Florida but the show was
never picked up. He moved them to Hartwell, GA because its cheaper. You
would also take on a mechanic and a painter.
The coaches, he said he wanted to keep one or two of them; one was his
father's (??) and the FMC pusher. His current lease is up with the property
owner, but he said he is on a month-to-month agreement now (questionable
flag went off in my head. My guess is that the property owner wants him and
the coaches gone. I suspect a Due Diligence process would be highly
unacceptable to the seller. Imagine the potential liabilities! I may turn
out to be a good deal and I could be wrong, but there are enough red flags
for me to avoid this--so thanks to all who posted.
He referenced a guy in Florida who was ready to come buy it--begging the
question: well??? The video he sent portrays Alex Ferrara buying a GMC for
$100k...really? Here is the link to the (well done, IMO) video:
