I replaced both of the original cabin fans last year with Maxxair fans with the remote control and rain-sensing. Great improvement and they work as advertised except that the motor on one fan quit spinning. Everything else worked (it opened and closed as programmed and closed when it rained) but the fan wouldn't turn. So, I called the customer service number. After negotiating the phone menu I finally got to someone who asked just enough questions to verify the problem and said "OK, we'll send you a new fan motor". I had gathered up the invoice and other documentation but all he wanted was the serial number. Refreshing.
The motor arrived today. No instructions, of course, but how hard can it be? (We'll see.) I would have preferred they send swap out the whole unit (actually, I would have preferred they just send someone out to fix it) but this should solve the problem with a lot less hassle than I expected.

Darrel,
Even Fantastic Fan does not send you a complete unit.
Max fan has better features.
I had several warranties the new Fantastic Fan co. refused to take care.
