I was poised to buy Kuhmo tires, but I was able to score a deal through work and bought firestone for less....
I read the whole article, and thought it pretty cool that finally a tire manufacture is setting up in USA and making USA jobs.
unfortunately toward the bottom of the article, I noticed that this may not be a good thing for us GMC owners:
here is the quote:
"Initially, the tires which will be stamped "Made in the U.S.A." will be sold on the retail market and could be carried by Middle Georgia tire dealers, Frentheway said. But about eight to 10 months, the company expects to get the proper certification it needs to sell its tires directly to car manufacturers, such as Kia, Hyundai and Chrysler. At that time, it will no longer sell to retailers."
So I am guessing those Kumho tires at tire rack will not be Made in the usa?
