My dates are 12 -19 December, with the show being the weekend of the 17th and 18th of December.

There is a problem: Wekiwa Springs campground is closed while they upgrade to 50 amp electric service. This leaves Lake Louisa and Blue Springs as alternates, unless somebody knows of somewhere else within reasonable distance of SkyCraft and the Convention center. If so, speak up now. City por county parks are also in play if anybody knows of any. Otherwise I'd favor Lake Louisa, it's closer to Orlando.
NOTE - LAKE LOUISA is already HALF FULL! We need to decide by the end of Bean Station so we can make reservations. Somehow, a week of Bounds parking lot just isn't all that attractive - rather we go visit, and stuff some 'cue down him and Janie, and waste money at Skycraft.

Anybody got other cuggestions? Galbavy? Tom? RC? Bounds? Pryor? ANYbody???

Lake Louisa is a nice park. Been there, done that. Make a reservation and let us know site number. Will attempt to get close to you. RC, jump in here. Everyone is
welcome. This is a hang out rally, no organization, no fees, no one in charge, just GMCers having a good time.
On to Bean Station!

We're in. Make an executive decision, Johnny. Anywhere is fine with us. Except now we'll have to find another Korean restaurant.

After looking at the county parks and commercial sites, Lake Louisa gets the nhod. I'll reserve one tomorrow and post it. I'll query Bohannon about stuff on that side of The Mouse.

OK, I got site 044 on the C loop at Lake Louisa, 12 - 19 DEC 2016. There are about half a dozen sites still open on that loop, and the center of the loop looks pretty good. Isn't as shady as Wekiwa, but them's the breaks. Over the summer I'll research local eateries and such. Ikea is still the move for some, as is Skycraft. We'll do a day at Bounds' place and try to get him and Jeanie out for Almost Famous Chicken. Open to further suggestions.

Those who are about full of December Christmas hype and noise are invited to join us in a few days of doing pretty much nothing in the Florida sunshine. They don't allow swimming in the lakes on either side of the campground, but I think fishing is cool.

NOTE: This place is filling, and as word of Wekiwa being closed propogates, it will fill faster. Currently 40 spaces out of 70 something available for the entire week, more for some days. Sign up and join us.

Just did a cursory look at Clermont restaurants - looks like pretty good pickin's without resorting to the chain joints. A Polski deli, highly rated Cuban, bunch more. I betcha we can find a Korean, lotsa local Italian. We will eat well. I propose A.F. barbecued chicken one night. Open on others, and surely we'll want to hit the locals. I'll pass them through the Bohannon Filter and see if he thinks any place stands out.

OK, still available in the bunch of us, 46, 47, 52, 53, 55, 56. There's more but those are in the midst of the GMCs. Knezek ought to take his kids to see The Mouse and Cinder to see all the dogs Smile Anybody who never went to a dog show or Meet The Breeds ought to show up to say they've been there. Anybody who's never been to Skycraft ought to show up with their credit card. Anybody who's never seen the Co-Op ought to show up just to harass Jim Bounds. Etc.

I am taking the kids to see the Mouse. Twins turn 5 this year so it is a tradition. But we are in Disney 12/3-12/9. Can't help it your dog show is at the wrong time and my time off has been accounted for!

Be Alert! (We need more lerts). Don't be aloof (we got plenty of loofs.)
Why? Because as of this morning, there are only 19 spaces left at Lake Louisa for the week. There are probably some weekdays also available I didn't look. But. If you have an inkling of joining us for the festivities of The Co-Op, SkyCraft, The Mouse, anything Orlando related, reserve your space NOW. The loss of Wekiwa Springs to renovation has pushed the pressure up on Lake Louisa, and the dog people have found it. You can always cancel, but if the place fills you can't do a 'last minute'.
