If I would have made it to the GMCMI rally. I wouldn't be coming up with more ideas now. There is the entry door switch that goes to ground to turn a light on. So what other switches are out there?Bob Dunahugh

Bob,
There are Magnetic switches for this purpose. That's what I'll be using.
You want a normally OPEN circuit that closes when you open the door.

How many do you need, Bob? I've got a few burglar alarm magnetic reed
switches in a box somewhere. Just mount one on the door frame and a magnet
on the door to trip it. Not high current devices, but you're probably
using LEDs, so that shouldn't matter.
