On my '78 Royale, I find that with the seat adjusted all the way to the rear, there still isn't as much legroom as I would like. From looking at the swivel mounting plate, there appears to be about 3" behind the existing holes. I'd lie to drill new holes about 1.5 to 2" to the rear and remount the seat. From my view, it still won't interfere with the ability to fully swivel. What am I overlooking?

Thanks.....
John Mitchell

Depends on where the kitchen counter is, My 77 Royale has the countertop on the driver side right behind the drivers seat. Even all the way back the large OEM seat stops at the counter top.

I dont see too much of an issue if you dont have a counter top in that spot.

Being 5'7" and shrinking I have never really had those pesky leg room issues:)

I have done that on my 78, but cannot recline the seat too far due to the high back interfering with the overhead cabinet behind it. Running the seat fully forward still allows it to swivel.

Mine has the sofa (bunk beds) behind the driver's seat...so I think I'll be OK.
