( Disclaimer. This is what looks good to Linda, and myself. ) First item to settle on. Do you want a warm, or full spectrum. We have all full spectrum at home. And like it. With the GMC. You experience more warm light in your travels. So we felt that warm LED lights would be more appropriate for our main ceiling lights. And full spectrum for reading, and counter lights. We've found that 4, 440 Lumina, LED recessed lights in the front kitchen/dinette area seem to be just right. And the same for the rear sleeping area above the rear wheel wells. Then one in the rear bath. So now you can do the math that meets YOUR needs. Bob and Linda Dunahugh Completely restored 78 Royale

I like 2800-3000 Kelvin, now being billed as Warm White by the led vendors. I think it looks particularly good in the Royale, which has an old 'club car' feel to it with all the dark wood.

I have found that the equivalent of 60w incandescent in each corner gives good utility, but when I want light, I want LIGHT, so I am adding 3 of Justin's 4" rounds under the cabinets, then setting up switching for each corner for 1, 2, or 3 selection. 2 would be enough, but 3 has a better aesthetic.

Peer,
That's spec'd.
I don't have a meter handy but I'll try to get my hands on one at some point.

thanks. My message was a bit tongue in cheek, as I have seen multiple
LED (stripes) which were all rated identical (temperature and brightness
wise), but produced totally different output.

Would be interesting to know the real numbers.

Agreed,
I went through quite a few manufacturers before choosing these they were the brightest, with the nicest light I could find in the 4W variety.
Lumens are a pretty touchy subject when it comes to LED's. The measurements aren't really comparable with the older tech due to differences in reflectors, light direction, etc.
I believe the ones Bob used are very similar to the ones I sell. They may be 6 watt? Bob can you confirm what wattage your lights are? Or the current draw?

I've not metered them, but Justin's are definitely in the range of a 40w incandescent, which would be 450 lumens. I'm expecting Justin's to meet spec.

Justin, if/when you get a meter, if you can, how's to measure the output with the voltage from about 14 down to about 11.5 in half volt steps? Mine dim a bit as the DC supply output sags. Plenty of light still, but the drop is noticeable, when the water pump cycles or I turn the exhaust fan over the stove on. Both of ehich draw considerable current.

I thought I'd update this.
We just finished installing 8 of our 4W lights in our coach.
I think this is more than enough light:
http://www.thegmcrv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/wp-1462930654005-1024x576.jpg
That would be 2880 lumens.
These 8 lights pull 1.82 amps at 12.43 volts.
