I bought new height control valves a few years ago from Applied.
One of the valves now has a leak; it won't shut off when set to
travel. Once it reaches travel height, it just continuously hisses out
the port at the valve. This is on a 75 coach, so has the earlier style valves.
Any thoughts on what's wrong with it? Is it fixable, or do I need
to spring for another new valve?
thanks,
Karen

When I took mine apart I found that little particles of aluminum corrosion had gotten into the valves and was holding them open. The valves that were badly damaged I replaced with ones from some spares. The valves are all based on Schrader valves but some have different tips and all seem to have stiffer spring rates than tire valves. It seems that moisture is a real enemy of these. If it were mine, and I knew that the valves were fairly new, I would remove the control link, block the bogies, pump up the compressor, and then cycle the bags up and down once or twice to see if I could flush out the valves. Maybe someone else on the net will have better suggestions.

They've got those upside down shrader valves inside. Probably got some
contamination in one.

Karen,
I can warranty it for you, if it is the one in the rear fender.
Just pay us $ 15 for shipping to factory.
Hope that will work for you as I feel they should last several years.
