Years ago I used to have a side job assembling integrated circuit boards by
installing wire harnesses and chips as well as other components to them.
Techtronics was the owner of the boards. I did not know what the final use
was. They provided a yes/no test fixture that we plugged the harness into
and ran a series of tests. All the components were soldered by hand and
then clipped and cleaned. Fine work under 10 power magnification. Fussy
client. Time constraints dictated that one work efficiently. I know what
you mean by "keeping your head and hand into the game". I have been out of
my shop since December, and Wednesday I picked up my wire feeder and
welded some torsion bar tools. Not the prettiest job I have ever done,
little rusty, am I.

Thanks Jerry. Baby steps for sure. Still have cardiovascular rehabilitation
3 days a week. Progress is slow but steady. Have moved up to 5 pound hand
weights, and blue stretch straps. Speeding up my treadmill too. Getting
serious with me, I guess. Just starting to work in the shop some. Have
some back orders for bleeders to fill. Going to work in an advisory
capacity for a while. Let the owners turn my wrenches and I will guide
them. Just what I can do right now.

My thought has been that there exposed to road spray in heavy rains. Granted. Not alot. But they do get wet. Every Onan I've ever got ( 5 ). I first got them running properly. Then run them long enough to get them warm. Not hot. Remove some shrouds. Sprayed on some degreaser. let the degreaser soak for about 1 hour. Then pressure wash it. Being careful to not get water in the generator vents. Or the control box. Pull the point set cover off. Then let it set out in the sun light for a few days. They've all ran fine after doing this method. My 2 cents.

No way to turn off the spell checker, Jim?
That's one of the first things I do with a new email setup. It's a
little awkward when I do want to do a spell check, though.
