I've seen modern front GMC letters installed to replace the originals on the front, and back. The front M is the problem. Any input out there. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale.

Bob, many coaches have gone to the more modern "GMC" letters from the middle of the pick-up grille. Mounted in the same place, looks like it was designed there. Not OEM, but looks good. Inserts are $5 to $10 at your local men's mall.
Off to Dothan.

The original GMC letters can be restored using the cosmichrome technology. I had the letters restored by a local body shop using the cosichrome technology and am happy with the results. I have not yet remounted the letters since my coach was repainted but it's on my "to do"list!
