As I continue with my planning, I'd like to have this thing finished by mid summer. So I figure I better start planning out the final details.
The big one is paint, my coach is going to need a full paint job.
I am capable of doing it, have all the tools, etc, but I painted a truck last year and It's just not fun for me, so I would prefer to farm it out.
Does anyone know anyone in the southeast who does paint on something this large?
I'm looking for quality work at a reasonable price, I don't want exotic paint or anything crazy, probably just a quality 2 tone job.
Also has anyone else had it done? Price?

I am looking also everything I have found that is worth having done is approaching or surpassing 5 digits if you look at a scratch and splash job it still going to be 4 to 5000 maybe cheaper in Mexico low cost labor and no safety standards. But I don't think we are going to get away cheap. JimB had a post on this a while back maybe he will chime in

SONICJK wrote on Tue, 15 March 2016 14:34I have also reached out to a couple companies that do wraps, as that may be an option as well depending on cost.
If you get a quote on the wrap please post the cost as I had thought of that possibility

just a wide ass guess on a wrap.
not much less then a paint job.
wrap for a mini-van is $3000+

We wrapped vans every 3-4 years, and they were looking pretty shoddy by then. Wrap doesn't do well over lowered seams and around gasketed windows unless you specify them - and specifying adds labor which runs the cost up. More'n 5 year expectation, paint it. Around here, wrap and paint run about the same ~~ 10% of each other. You >can< get a lot more graphic with wrap, and run the graphics across windows excepting the windshield, using perforated wrap.

Just got off the phone with Jim at the COOP.
He says they are working on getting their paint jobs down to 8-9k with all the labor included.
Also said if I do some of the prep work they will take it from where I leave off which is a good option, basically i can go until I am fed up with it, and then hand it off haha.
Only problem is he's in orlando, which is pretty far from me. I'd really prefer someone closer.

Brian -
Ask your guy what he wants to shoot a 23'. I'll give it to him prepped, and (of course) he's not responsible for anything that doesn't stick. Single color Imron or equivalent epoxy. I leave too many 'trademarks' (sags) in my painting and I don't have a booth available anymore.
