It lights up the headlight, and washer switch. I just can't believe a mouse ever got it to chew the strip up.Bob Dunahugh78 Royale

Bob, that little fiber optic strip is unobtanium. Mice did not chew it up, it just deteriorated over the past 40 years. Replacement is either very small leds behind each switch, or electroluminescent tape. Both methods have been done by various people. Both methods are in the photo site.
When Radio Shack still existed, you could get the electroluminescent tape and 12v inverter needed for around $25. I have no current source for these parts. No Radio Shack still exists around here.

Bob,

Some in the group used to do a package of LEDs and labels. I hope he jumps in.
Radio Schlock isn't good for much any more and there is none close to you.

Both Ebay and Amazon list EL tape kits with 12V supplies real cheap.

Bob, The amazing Chinese site, Banggood has what you need. http://www.banggood.com/Colorful-Electroluminescent-Tape-EL-Wire-8-Colors-Inverter-3V-60cm14mm-p-998695.html?curr

Price is unbelievable. $3.75 and a choice of colors.

Me too. Len’s kit was one of the first projects I did to the coach and it’s a quick, feel good, project that you’ll remember every time you turn on the lights!
