We had a wood laminate floor in our GMC convertible for about 12 years. Liked it, looked good. And later held up well with a powered wheelchair on it. It's only downfall for us was if water got on it. It started to swell at the joints. Then last weekend we saw a flooring that looked just like our former wood laminate. But it was a solid vinyl. And it went down, and locked in the same manner. No more water issues at the door. Or at the new drive in shower.Bob Dunahugh78 Royale

RC. As to your question on what it is. It shows it as a Menards product. But This may help for other sources. Acropolis, Floating Vinyl Plank Flooring, model # MR301-00264, product SKU #725-6622, sample SKU #725-6922, color: Athena Acacia. 30 year Res, 5 Light Com Warranty. Bob Dunahugh

We put a Traffic Master vinyl plank tile floor in our coach looked nice and then the temperature dropped below 40 and the tiles shrank. The gaps between the tiles opened a much as an 1/8". Make sure what you get can take the cold.

Does it tend to telegraph any flaws in the original floor? Screws, gaps, knots, etc?

Tom. I've seen that happen with glue down vinyl tile. It was in a 3 season porch. With temps from 30 below zero, to 100 above. This is a floating floor that locks together. The wood laminate we had in the coach before floated fine with no gaps showing up. And it was affected by heat, and humidity. Bob Dunahugh
