When doing the on-going renovation to my 23ftr I removed all the 12 volt “house wiring”, including the co-axial cables. All the lights are now LED’s, most of them LED ribbons, and there are 5 - 12 volt USB outlets. All the wires are 16 or 18 gauge. LED lights are polar sensitize so I decided to wire each fixture individually with a positive (red) and a negative (black) wire. Each of these wires are run back to central busses, one for positive and one for negative. No circuits are combined except if on the same switch. There are 12 marine type switched fuses that feed 12 separate busses. Each of these busses feed a group of specific circuits and are placed next to a “grounded” buss for the return ground wire. There is one remote buss in the kitchen area.
All this may be quite confusing to future owner (probably one of my sons) so I am producing an electrical plan that will indicate all the circuits and where they terminate
All is working well so far.
