I am thinking my coach could be more useful in the short term as a people mover (church and scouts, specifically). Has anyone gone to a full passenger conversion? I think I'd leave the bathroom and fridge. Once its served its use, I could rehab it back to a traveling coach.

six mint Hertz hubcaps.

Find a transmode. Some of them came in airporter mode with toilets and
generators and A/C.

Exactly what you described was available for sale several years ago in Jackson, MS. It has FlexSteel seats in leather completely down the drivers side of the GMC. A compact frig and sink was installed by the door. Dual A/C and Mr. Onan doing the cooling. I'm willing to bet it is still there.
It would be difficult to get it insured as a people mover, due to age. There was one of the Hertz airport GMC's for sale in South Texas, photos showed horrible condition and priced like gold.

Maybe 7 or 8 years ago Jim Bounds at the Coop did a small luxury version of this for someone in Texas who wanted to use it for a bird watching trip. Leather captains chairs, moved the bathroom to the back, fridge, it looked nice. It was a 23' and I've often thought if I could find it again for a reasonable price I'd consider it for my family's day to day people mover! Other than the parking problems, it would be a heck of a way to shift the kids around in style and comfort, especially at $1.50 a gallon gas.

Thanks,

What floorplan do you have?

On my palm beach, stock, it hauls 12 passengers+ driver, and is not crowded. I have had 21 in there and that was crowded.

There are stuff hidden behind some of the cabnets/closet, that inwould think remodeling twice would not be worth it. Rick drummand remodded his front area that easily created a couple seating positions where the step is, and by adding a buddy seat, you could gain another.

I guess what i am saying it makes a great people mover as is. Get out and drive the coach, mine hauls 4 kids and 4 adults to the dairy queen all summer long.

These are the only ones I can find on Jim B's page, and it doesn't show much. I was there just before it was completed, was very nice, but I don't have any pictures of it.

Aren't most GMC upfitted coaches already full passenger models? (other than the twin bed models)

Mine has a fixed bed in the back so at best I have 8 seats. In "bus mode" I figure I could fit up to 15 but then you get into a gross weight issue.

We have 10 seatbelts in a 23, but that includes the driver.
Now we would have to store the mattress that some older people find comfortable, but it could easily do a day run.
