Looks like a thou in wheels... if the tires are in date and the inside isn't ruint, a reasonable price. If he asks 1500. he'll watch it leave for a thou. Assuming it's close enough for you to get home without going broke in the process. For 5 -6 Large you could do a Manny Tranny and a built engine. 10-12 you could rehab the running gear all up if the frame is good. What's the inside look like? Passable?

I just spoke with the owner. It hasn't run in 4 years when the engine
developed a bad oil leak (front seal?). Apparently it came from CA where it
received a rebuilt engine, drove to WA where the oil leak developed and then
it sat. So it appears that it might not need a full rebuild. It's a 403.
Electrolevel II air system.
I asked him about frame rust, but he has never been under it so has no idea.
I received some small cell phone pics of the interior. It's all there and
complete. The headliner needs to be replaced. There is an obvious leak on
the front right side, and it's ruined everything below it. Front seats are
ratty, etc. It needs to be gone through but it is complete.

Sacramento, CA It most likely won't need a new engine, just fix the leak (valve cover gasket, pan gasket, seal, whatever). BUT...
It is sitting with the wheels buried up to the body and one side, and the frame on the other. If the frame is not already rusted out, it will be shortly.
If those are alloy wheels and not covers, it is worth about what he is asking if someone lives close enough and has a trailer to get it home. The frame probably being rotten, it would not be worth hiring someone to transport it anywhere.

I am new to all this, just recently buying my GMC, but I have been looking for awnings and there a couple thousand dollars,,, also sooner or later want to replace right hand windshield ,,, I think there $ 500 each so on and on ,,,,if you got the time it's worth looking at ,,, if not for restoration you could always part out ?! Hate to loose one but could help build a couple others s ?

Ratty as it looks, including the missing A/C cover, with the Alcoas it
appears to have and the Ragusa step, $1000 might be reasonable -- for
someone close enough/skilled enough to get it running to drive it home --
or to the closest junkyard that will accept it.

Does the registry note the state of the coach? IE - useable / scrapped / under restoration / etc?
I can never remember if the total built was 12,921 or 12,941; which is it? Or is it a different number?

Sometimes it does, but in the case of this coach, and as stated in the reply to Guy, the listing was / is new, therefore there was no existing info about it. This coach certainly looks like it has seen better days. The only way I can put such info in the "Comments" field is if the PO, Bob D. for example, notes that their coach was destroyed by fire, or the PO is using it as a parts coach, or whatever. Then the coach is listed as *GONE*, but still remains in the data base. Also, I do retain a picture of each coach, if it is available.

Sorry for the half assed question; I should have said could you do a sort on condition of the coach so we could see how many are
scrapped, wrecked, operating, restored, GONE, etc?

You say younger a key to tow it. Is that just to unlock the shift lever? If so, you can just disconnect the shift linkage at the transmission and manually shift it there.

Why do you need a key to tow it? The best way to tow it is with a
wheel-lift truck, so if the front wheels are not turned sharply, there
should be no problem. If you DO use a wheel-lift, be sure the driver
adjusts the wheel lift spacing high enough to leave clearance between the
tow boom and the bottom of the radiator -- you don't need to start your
project with a radiator replacement.

Ken, I thought the best way to tow was with a flat bed ,I wanted to get it out of its grave and get it on the side of the road before the tow truck got there , that was my thinking at least while I was waiting for the owner it was pouring down rain found some old soap in the coach and gave it a bath
