G'day,
Rust on the barbie plate, not a problem, each time you finish using it just give the plate a quick wipe.
The fat left behind will help seal the plate from rust. Next time you light up it easily scraps off, ready for use again.
I'm not lazy, just practical....honest.

G'day,
Mark has highlighted a cultural difference between Yank's and Aussie's!
In the USofA a BBQ has grills that the hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, chops, chicken, shrimp, steak, etc. sit on and the flames
cook them.
In the land Downunder Barbie's have a large flat plate and the burgers, hot dogs, bangers, snags, chops, chook, prawns, and steak
get fried.
