I did a quick search and didn't see this mentioned yet - a Toronado drivetrain at each end! This guy has WAY too much free time:

Have any of the Oregon guys stumbled across this?!? I'll have to watch for it on my next trip down there...

Jay Leno has a toronado that is fitted with two drive trains. Check Jay

Back in the early 2000's, I found a twin engine Eldorado on the net. Two Cadillac 500's. The original FWD 500, followed by another 500 Eldo drive train under the rear deck driving the rear wheels. A 1000 cubic inch 4WD Eldo!! Haven't seen it on the internet now in about 5 yrs.

Back in the 1970’s, there was a Pinto wagon running around North Jersey with a 425 / TH425 in the back.

The wheelie bars were completely necessary.

There have been a lot of mods using the Toro drivetrain.

I bought my first spare TH425 from a guy who used it to install a SB Chevy as a mid-engine in a Vega coupe. Ran out of money and income before finishing the project.
Citroen did 4WD in the 2CV by putting an engine on both ends. The driver would select front wheel, rear wheel or all wheel drive. Sold in Africa.
Imagination can run wild, if you let it.

There's one on Ebay right now. We experimented with dual powertrains at GM as a way to achieve decent fuel economy and yet have great performance when needed. We had a twin engine Citation that was an absolute sleeper. It was a mule for future Corvette development. I had a lot of fun with that car on Woodward Ave !

Larry,

Try dialing up "1995 Mosler twin engine Cadillac". This is two Northstars.
I remember the original article, but don't remember where.
