Hi,

I just completed rewiring my engine and pulling out the old non working dash a/c heater system.
Have started looking at installing an aftermarket dash heater. I am thinking about handling the a/c part as separate
system later on.

How many BTU's did the original dash heating system generate?
Any brand preferences that may have already been installed in a coach?

Thanks.

Try vintage air its aftermarket. Id use them and with some factory
components to get today's performance out of a stock looking system. Id do
the ac and heat together. Why do it twice

Since you have a 77 I would recondtion the GM system and reinstall. I don't understand how it could all be "bad" as there is not much to break or wear out other than foam seals.

David,

The aftermarket units from Vintage Air have two squirrel cage blowers driven by one motor and are about 3 inches in diameter, they
spin up a really high speed and are NOISY.

I would suggest you find a 1960's Ford Mustang under dash unit they also have two squirrel cage blowers driven by a single motor,
however, they are about 5 inches in diameter and move more air at a lower speed and are much quieter.

How do I know this, I have both!
