Great American Country (CABLE GAC) has an interesting series called "Flipping RV's" Specifically, it's about a couple who have a company that specializes in restoring vintage travel trailers...like 30's to 50's. Not really anything to do with our machines but it's pretty dang interesting and is drama free. Wendesday night is usually a marathon.

I like the "drama free"....

I hate it when they are spending 100K restoring a classic car but have to rush it to meet some show deadline.
A deadline is fine as a motivator but its also not conducive to top quality work. The car is 50 years old and hopefully will last another
50 years at least and you have to rush it to save a few days to go to a show no one will remember in a year or two???

I have had some brief experience with reality TV.....and didnt like what I saw. It was way more scripted than it appears
and they love to fabricate "drama".

Found that flippin RV show last night....but its not in my cable package Sad

Pete,

With all due respect I was involved with a project that had a deadline - PROJECT APOLLO!

Need I say more? :-)

Live!!!! From the MOON. Held my breath as the descent entered the last few
seconds with fuel nearly exhausted. Millions exhaled all over the world,
as the simple phrase was uttered. "The EAGLE HAS LANDED" No one did it
before or since for that matter. Best day in the History of America, in my
opinion. They came home safe too. Live on commercial television, with the
whole world watching.

I had a number of friends that worked for NASA in that period and some were working on either manned or unmanned orbital missions. What few people know is that NASA was actually very budget conscious. Some people actually believed that it was a "Cost is No Object" operation. Safety was a big issue.

Yes, Deadlines and Contract Cost were BIG problems.
