My local body shop supplier stopped by to see how my project was coming. So I asked for his suggestions on making the paint shine. I was a bit surprised that due to the good condition of the paint on the 73, and 78. His suggestion was Meguiar's, fine cut cleaner #2. They have good products. And this product is body shop safe. The body shop safe means that the surface that a product is used on can be painted at a later date. This is a very important point if any work is to be done in the future. Many products will say body shop safe on the label. This clean cut #2 didn't have that label. If that label isn't there. I'd strongly suggest calling the product manufacture on this issue. I used this product on the roof. To get it ready for the new pod. The roof looks great. Looking forward to doing the sides.Bob Dunahugh Member GMCMIAnd not afraid to say.4441 Dear view Rd Cedar Rapids Iowa

Are you going you put some polish or wax to finish. That would not be body shop safe I guess. Thoug that's what Prepsol is for. I used basic Meguires cleaner wax on my chaulky 77 with a Milwaukee grinder/polisher. I figured 2 separate steps was more than I could handle. Still shines after several years. .
