I managed to get both the front and rear caps out today, and after cleaning everything up, I now know why many people just punt and pull all the wood out. Not much left after stripping the flimsy warped drawer bottoms out except the frig-shower exterior wood, and the closet-drawer stuff. Closet-drawer side reasonably solid, and with the proper reinforcing, will be OK until the next phase. Still need to pull the countertop and sink, for the back of the countertop is puffed up, and the rest of the flooring, but has to stop somewhere. I want to get it out and driving before the spring. Will sleep on it and have a different outlook in a day or two
The AIMS 3000 inverter-charger fits easily in the area where I pulled the buzz-box, and really like the concept of the rubber isolators. Anyone know of smaller ones that match the 7-9mm mounting holes in the AIMS? Has to help longevity and cooling if raised a little off the deck. https://www.vibrationmounts.com/Store.asp?Page=Products2.htm
Looking for something off the shelf:
I am on the fence about replacing the existing electrical system. In reality, not sure I really need more than an extra breaker for the second AC. Plus with the addition of an on-demand hot water heater, the extra HW breaker will not be loaded. New AC's show up mid week and the WFCO AC-DC panel.
The front cap is a mess. PO had pulled the cap and put the visors back in without springs. Driver's side visor mounting came out of the roof and a huge mess of holes in the cap and a giant rip down the center. Going to have to lay glass pretty much over the whole thing. Rear cap has a few holes also. Everything crumbling on the edges, and that that does not crumble, snaps. All the straight window trim is so hard it just snaps.
Progress...
