On the 10th of November, Judy and I traveled to White Rock, British
Columbia, Canada to see our good friends Dwayne and Sharon Jacobson. Many
of you know that Dwayne has been in a battle with Mesotheloma, an asbestos
exposure related cancer. It has mostly affected his stomach instead of his
lungs. The first Dr he visited gave him a 99 - 1 % chance of surviving for
60 days. That was in early June. Well, it is now November, and Dwayne is
still with us. His body weight has gone from near 200 pounds to 146 pounds,
and his color is typical of others with similar diseases. But his eyes are
bright and his spirits are great. He has undergone Chemotherapy and it has
succeeded in shrinking the tumor. He feels well enough that they are
planning in attending the GMC Cascaders Christmas Rally in Bonny Lake,
Washington the first weekend in December.
We stayed in White Rock for two nights, and spent whatever time his
schedule permitted. Enjoyed great fellowship and several shared meals with
them. Their faith is a sustaining factor in this battle, and is a wonder to
be a part of. What the future holds for Dwayne, (or any of us for that
matter) no human can predict. I am thankful for the time we are given with
him, and wish Dwayne and Sharon the best. Oh yes, his son in law and
daughter plan on bringing Dwayne's GMC to the rally for them.

Thank you Jim for that generous report. Dwayne has become a very important and dear man in our world and I can say along with most everyone that knows him that, "the world needs good men like Dwayne".

Judi and I include our petition of prayer for his complete healing and for many years of great fellowship together with Dwayne and Sharon.

One more Chemo tomorrow then the doc says a rest period that could go as
long as one year. I look forward to gaining back weight and energy and
being about to travel and enjoy the good things in life.
Like fellowship with GMC motorhome friends.

Regards
Dwayne
