Having read a few reports on the forum of scary incidents when breaking down it occured to me after following a schoolbus today that a set of yellow LED strobe lights on the rear and perhaps front of your coach might get the attention of fellow travellers and get you a little more room when you need it.
Yellow LED strobe light sets are pretty cheap nowaday and a quick google search seems to indicate you are very unlikely to get any problems
if you use them in a genuinely hazardous situation (not just when traffic is busy or when you want to park illegally to pop in the the pizza shop!)
Blue Red and white are much more problematical and will likely get you a ticket or worse although I suspect you might get away with it if they came on your
coach when you bought it (EX police or ambulance versions) AND it was a genuinely really hazardous situation AND COP was not an %$^^$#

You need to check the state laws on flashing lights. Having driven tractor for several years I have found state laws differ. As an example, in West Virginia if you are broke down or are going well below the posted speed limit you will get a ticket for not having your flashers on. In Virginia if you want to use a Yellow flashing light which is not part of OEM on your vehicle you need a permit. Other states vary. You might risk a ticket by using them. I however would use them anyway and risk the ticker if I felt the emergency triangles were not sufficient for any given situation.

I agree Bob. I'll take the ticket. Common sense has to prevail.

On the way home from Pensacola on Sunday, we were warned by Goggle
Maps that there was an accident and stopped traffic ahead on I-10. As
soon as we joined the back of the 5+ mile long queue, I turned on the
hazard warning flashers. They must have worked, because all of the
following traffic slowed gracefully and no one rammed us from the
rear. After 1/4 mile of followers arrived, I turned them off.
Oh yeah, as we passed the accident, 1/2 hour or so later, all we could
see was a tractor trailer on its side in the median with the roof
missing. No idea how it happened.

Hide LED flasher assemblies inside the front turn indicators and the rear tail light assemblies. No one would see them, unless you are actually using them. I think, if in use at an accident or break-down, no one will question you. Might be fun to fit and wire, especially the front turn assembly.
I carry a small rescue strobe ( military issue) in my coach, but it is really not the best choice for this purpose.
I would love a high output strobe in the driver side rear tail lamp assembly, thinking that would be the best point for a simple install.
With the LED tail lights, the rear flashers are much brighter than OEM bulb.

Yeah, but at nothing like the intensity of Strobe LEDS...........and in traffic other vehicles may not be able to see the other indicator lights (turn signals here) and think you are merely trying to change lane.
The strobes get folks attention. If the "bus" in front of you suddenly lights up like a yellow xmas tree you are likely to give it a lot more focus than if just the indicators come on....

Are you aware that there is a switch on the steering column of a GMC that turns on the emergency flashers?
The front orange turn signals flash, the rear stop light flash and IIRC the side marker lights flash as well.
