Thank you -- hard not to consider!
For those considering -- If you buy don't forget the fittings.

Anybody got any coupon codes for the Goldmine? 10 more dollars for 4 quick connect fittings was not excessive, but the 19 bucks to ship the setup (and the fittings) was about twice as much as normal and really called for a free shipping coupon. And then the Visa bill came in the mailbox and put the kibosh on replacing the system I have that still works. Kinda put the kibosh on the whole day. Sure does seem like a nice setup for the price.

Sorry 'bout that -- I've never ordered from them so didn't know their
shipping was so high.

Strange, isn't it, that we can order junk from China and it comes
postage paid, via USPS, for less than we'd pay for postage alone from
right up the street. Gotta believe what Trump says about our
politicians not negotiating as well as their politicians! :-((

I ordered from them before, Ken, and I don't recall the shipping being that expensive, maybe it was even free. It was little computer fans to put in the GMC air ducts and a pair of build-it toys for the kid genius, so maybe the water setup requires a bigger box and makes enough weight to get to the next level in their shipping price list. And yes it is strange, but I have also experienced the China shipping conflictions. I did not complain at the time, but I knew something was wrong somewhere in the system. I attributed it to the same error that brings some things from California in 3 days while others take 2 weeks or more.

China Post rates are intentionally set low by the Chinese gov't to encourage exports. The international agreement on mail handling says that the package or envelope origination government sets the rates and keeps all of the money. The delivery or receiving end gets nothing for handling the package.

Ken,

Compare a USPS flat rate box shipped domestically:

With the same one shipped to Australia:
