Keep in mind that modern plywood has been converted to 'nominal' sizing --which translates to "they've shaved a couple of mm off of it but still call it 3/4." In the building trades, a sheet off tar paper is required to level a butt joint between old and new.

Bob,
I replace my cockpit floor with 2 layers of Menards 1/2" (it is a true 1/2" thick) Marine plywood bonded together with a liberal amount of Titebond adhesive. I clamped the plywood with short sheetrock screws while adhesive cured.
Used the original pieces as a guide to then create the various channels and edges with a dado blade and table saw. I believe there were three different depths involved. Coated with some polyurethane I had on the shelf and attached to aluminum members with pop rivets and washers.
Nice feeling to have a solid floor under us (wife was a bit 'surprised' when showed her I could poke my finger through floor she was sitting on!)
