Putting in vinyl laminate in the coach. Heard carpet is the way to go for
the cockpit. Anyone with experience ? Pro's and cons?

Mark,
You want to use carpet up on the drivers deck and steps. It help with heat and sound control. I also use carpet back by the rear twin beds. In the past I have used ceramic tile in the kitchen area and never had any issues with the tile cracking or breaking. When I went to replace the carpet in the lower area to pergo flooring I had to beat the tile with a 3# hammer to get it out.

For those of you that still run carpet in your coaches, you will not believe how much dirt is trapped underneath! A modern floor either out of laminate or vinyl is so much easier to keep clean.

What so nice about our coaches that if you don’t like what you have on the floor, pull it out and change it to something you like. It took longer to pull out the old carpet, pad and all the staples than it did to put the new floor. It is your coach, make it to your personality.
