My old TC 40+ gave up the ghost. The unit gets dangerously warm and the built in fan does not come on. Power passes through it to wall outlets, but nothing lights on the remote monitor panel. Has anyone replaced their discontinued TC 40+ with the newer model 2? If so, we're you able to just connect your existing incoming and outgoing power connections, and if so, will the existing remote wall monitor panel also still work with the new unit? Thanks.

I replaced my 40+ last year with the 2-40 unit. The old remote panel does not work with the newer Xantrex.
Also, be very careful when buying one. There was a 2 40amp model but then they came out with another 2 model.
The remote panel for one doesn’t work for the other.
You’ll want to buy the latest model.
40A (part #804-1240-02) & 60A (part #804-1260-02). Please ensure you order TRUECharge2 Remote Panel part #808-8040-01
The battery temperature sensor is 808-0232-01.
