Is the wiring in place if one wanted to add a rear AC unit to a late 77 or 78 Coach?

Pete,
It may or may not be wired for a second AC unit in the back hole. If it was a GM finished coach you need to remove the inside valance and look on the drivers side for a 12-2 with ground buried in the foam and in the breaker box their should be a piece of wiring folded up in the box. Unsure of the transmode coaches that were finished by others. My 77 Eleganza II had the wire there.

My 76 transmode - norris upfit - doesn't have it, nor is there a spare in the old electric panel. The new panel, however, has a breaker for the second A/c, which I'll be adding when budget permits. 800+ feet of chainlink ate the current budget.

On my ’76 Palm Beach there is a 110 outlet in the ceiling. I wonder if this is the circuit that would be used for the air conditioner?

Larry et al,
We added a rear air and picked up the 110V from that ceiling box. Pretty easy to fish a length of Romex back to vent hole. Only issue I see is you cant run the a/c, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, and electric impact gun at the same time on that circuit. But, why would you?

All my 110 outlets are on the same breaker. Front A/C has a dedicated
breaker as does the rear one.
