That product has been sold for many years and it does work with some toads. However, you should contact Remco to see if it will work with the auto you plan to tow.

Used one years ago on a Dodge K car but haven't used one since. I have one in the garage I had plans to use on a 4l60e trans I have behind a LS1 motor in a 1965 Vista Cruiser. The remote should let you know if there is a problem with the pump while under way. I've also 'cheated' and towed four down with the tow vehicle running in neutral. Made a number of trips from Las Vegas to Eugene Or with a 2002 Camry in tow. When ever I stopped I'd check to make sure it was still running though it would have been a simple job to set up a tell tale to let one know if the towd's engine had died. I think the Camry would use about 4 gallons of gas during the 1000 mile jaunt. Lots less than buying a pump for sure.
