Reviving a long dead thread (again) but, My fresh water tank has 3 cracks
in the bottom. Problem solved, go buy one from the usual suspects, right?
Wrong. I have an Elegenza SE. The water tank is across the back of the
coach, not on the right side. The bottom rear of the tank slopes up at
about 15 degrees to follow the contour of the rear floor. I tried to find
the thread about which (if any) adhesives work on the polyethylene tanks,
but could not. I am going to try tomorrow to see if I can find someone
locally that can weld the tank, but right now, I am not a happy camper....

I never really looked at the fresh water tank. Are all the connections in the top? Can you put a liner in it?

No, outflow is at the bottom.
Is the pump capable of self priming? Maybe the outlet can come out the top and go down to the pump.

A large soldering iron and strip of polyethylene to melt into the cracks should fix it if the tank is in good shape otherwise

Well, MAY have some good news. Checked with my friend that owns a RV repair
business and he pointed me to Bell Plastics, in Hayward, CA (about 3 miles
from my house!). I dropped off the tank there today and they were pretty
sure that they could repair it (yeah!).
