Received an ad from Campingworld today with a special of 81,71 for the
above pump. As I am thinking about getting a replacement for my original
one, I have two questions:

1) Is that a good choice?

2) Is the price really special? I've seen better prices but not sure
with regards of service and stuff.

Any and all notes are greatly appreciated.

Peer,

That is not a bad price, but it is oly for Good Sam members and you can match it on Ebay.

Peer,
The original pump was a 2028 surflow and about 4 years ago they came out with the 4008 pump. I have use it as a replacement for the factory pump and it has a slightly higher gpm and psi rating. Nice pump, never had any issues with it and have installed it on a number of other coaches. Do a search on Ebay using this item. Shurflo 4008 Pump It is even cheaper than the 4028 pump, Under $60.

FYI: Camping World has an "unwritten" policy to match ANY competitors price in-store, including their own "Internet SALE" pricing. If you are a Good Sam member, that is it. If you are not - they will likely add their shipping charge to the price match (if additional shipping applies to your item).

I've used it several times myself. The local store may squawk about it - but Marcus Lemonis (their CEO) has stated this publicly:

From http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/27554063.cfm

i will match any price in the market and still honor the 39 dollars. Its that simple

When I'm near a Camping World, I carry a printout of that page...

Hope it helps.
