So I got the new replacement bridge rectifier from Applied. As I had read the terminals don't match the direction of the OE part. What I can't find is the technique for solving that problem...
Do I:
1. Try and modify/twist the 3 terminals on the new rectifier 90 degrees?
2. Try and modify the white plastic plug housing?
3. Discard the white housing and wire directly to the new rectifier?
4. Something else?
I searched but couldn't find an actual link to a thread or pictures of the modification needed.
Thanks in advance

I made four very short jumpers to connect between the bridge rectifier and the socket.

Thanks Guys. I bent them 90 degrees but it was pretty hard to get them to line up. While continuing to "tweak" the posts it felt like they were getting weak. I think I am going to go the same route as Larry and make some jumpers.
Thanks again.

Thanks Emery.
So if I can source one locally no need for spare. If I have to order them I will order an extra in case I butcher another one trying to twist terminals.

Thanks. The drive back was fantastic. As far as the dash air, the local shop in the Woodlands was trying to charge me too much for crappy reman parts. I ran out of time and had to leave. I will order up the right stuff and teach myself how to do A/C (with the help of you guys of course). Other than that the coach ran great and it was only truly uncomfortable when we we driving through 100+ degree temp from about 2-5 in the afternoon. It may have been an ill advised adventure to take a 40 year old vehicle cross country in the middle of August during a record setting heat wave...but life is short. The "on-the-job-training" I received was invaluable.
bdub wrote on Sat, 22 August 2015 08:58Congratulations on getting the Onan running! I was almost positive that
was what the problem was. Silver lining is that you got a nice Honda
generator as a bonus. You can get a pretty penny for that if you
choose. Hope the drive back from Texas to Oregon wasn't too awfully hot.
btw, did you get the dash air working? I never heard.

Larry,
How did you reinstall? Did you somehow figure out how to stuff the jumpers back into the plastic housing and remount with the screw? Did you dispose of the plastic housing and just remove the wires from plastic? Is the new rectifier just dangling in there?
Thanks,

You don't twist the terminals. You de-pin the plastic socket and drill out the terminal holder holes. You push the terminals on to the rectifier by slightly extending them through the old socket. The plastic part then serves to just keep things separated and safe and rectifier mounted.
