When I purchased my new Dometic frig, the door covering was an $80 option. Instead of using their panel, I made my own.
I used a sheet of white board for the door covering, and backed it (at the top) with a door width of sheet metal.
Now, when I go to rallies, I can put all the information on the frig, using magnets. Also, using the white board and dry erase markers, i can make short term notes.
Works very well.
