Does anyone have the Manuals or wiring diagrams or anything for one of these models?

I have looked at 2 of these and they seem to have a completely different Fuse block.

Also they seem to have a race car like trans cooler.

I'd like to find out more about these upgrades they did at explorer and know if they made a difference.

John,

The Kingsly is a GMC, so that will be under manuals on Bdub's page.
The Royale and the Birchaven are both Coachmen and you will find wiring under Choachmen Plumbling diagrams in the same place.

John,

Your 78 Royal, you did indicate if it as a rear or side bath and your 77 Birchaven were finished by Coachmen Industries with transmode bodies supplied by GMC. The manuals listed below are specific to your Royal and Birchaven fit-out. I was unaware that any of your 3 coaches were done by Explorer

Royal and Birchaven Manual:

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/coachmen_owners_manual-1978.pdf

Coachmen Wiring - Plumbing Diagrams

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/Coachmen_1977_26RB_Electrical_-_Plumbing_Drawings.pdf

The other manuals that you need for the 77 & 78 Transmode body/chassis and the 77 Kingsley are as follows:

For the Maintenance for all 3 coaches you want these manuals and there are specific wiring diagrams for the transmode:

1976 manual

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/X7525/index.html

1976 Supplement

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/X7625/index.html

77/78 Supplement

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/X7725/index.html

The supplements build upon the the 1976 manual and again there are wiring diagrams for the transmodes.

Owners Manuals

For your 77 Kingsley 455 you want the X7721A Operators Manual, first on the list.

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/ops77/index.html

For the 78 Royal you want the transmode Operators manual X7880A Transmode Operators Manual which is the second listing.

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/ops78/index.html

The GMC transmode owners manual can be used in conjunction with the coachmen owners manual at the top of this email.

Hope this information can be of help. All others that frequent the GMCnet or the Phorm and possibly Facebook who do not have manuals please go to:

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/index.html

When all else fails “READ THE MANUAL”!

The external Trans cooler is a common adder for the GMC motorhome. There are many manufactures of aux coolers. If you do a search on the internet using the term “ Aux Transmission Coolers” and the list is almost endless. If you tow or are planning to tow then a aux cooler will help keep your trans temp down and increase transmission life.

Anyone else with additional information are welcome to contribute!

The only Explorer items I recall -- Jim Gunther owned one and posted a few photos.
Here is the power distribution.

And the monitor panel.

There may be more on the photo site but this is what I could find.
