I am starting to have starting issues and suspect the NSSS is going bad. Does anyone have a replacement part #.

Thanks

Be aware that the NSS listed in the GMCMI is a Chrysler P/N.
I reported the error when I tried to used it to get a replacement
NSS for my GMC. Took my NSS down to NAPA it and they found a match.
.... or if you should contact JimK @ APPLIED GMC for the correct item.

Here is the short and long, term answer to the ness and start
switch,problem...

I have a "tap" and start switch on each of my 3 GMCs, to keep me on the
road,while I solve other problems.....

Had an intermittent issue with mine and made a change that I wouldn't recommend for everyone but works for me:
I Bypassed the NSS and hooked the starting circuit up to trigger off of the momentary battery jump switch
Pros: Uses both batteries on each start
Allows spinning the engine without starting for adjusting valves, ect
Allows you to spin the engine then turn ignition on, which helps if the engine is hot, or the starter or batteries are weak
Serves as a passive anti theft device

Con: Engine will start in any gear- you have to be careful!!!

Have used this trick for years in several of my hot rods. A hot 12:1 big block with 16 degrees of initial advance is pretty hard to start without it.
Again, works for me not everyone and just throwing it out there.
