Just a heads up: Whenever you have a problem, don't blindly assume
things, go and read the maintenance manual, and follow through on it.

This time around it was my house A/C. After coming back to my coach
after leaving it in April with a working A/C only to find that all of a
sudden it wouldn't work anymore (fan worked, but everytime the A/C tried
to startup it wouldn't), my friend suggested to fill up the
refridgerant. I didn't, but read about the issue in the maintenance
manual. Thanks btw to whoemever has scanned them in. Invaluable.

It turned out, it might just have been, that the long cable from my
friends house to the GMC might not provide enough power. So I powered up
the 6kW Onan, and after the time delay of the A/C, it came right up and
provided a very cool environment.

And I am a happy camper.

PS: nearly forgot, when you can't find a screw or something, check,
maybe the screw is still screwed in (don't ask)

Peer,

Read the manual? Are you nuts! That is the LAST thing a lot of people that post here do! I am not going to discuss why that happens
as it might put me in the "grumpy old man" category. ;-)

They'll ask a question, we'll respond, they won't understand the response, so they ask another question, we'll respond again
hopefully they'll understand, maybe.

I keep harping that people should read the manual FIRST then if they don't understand maybe they'll have a bit better understanding
of the system and when we respond they'll understand the response.

Regards,
Rob M.

Typically I don't post questions at all, I just search the forum and find the last 5 or 6 times the same question was answered. Many of you have answered my questions without my needing to ask.

You all are "intolerant" -- first you expect us to READ the manuals -- now you even expect us to search the archives.
Where's the fun in that!!!
