The rubber window seal strip on the inside of my GMC is coming loose and I
intend to re-seat it into place. Is it advisable that I apply some kind of
a liquid or grease sealant to the strip as I push it back in ? Or is it's
own friction enough to hold it in place ? I'm sure this has been answered
before here but I can't find a reference to it. Thanks for your help.

Andy,

It just slips in. There is a protrusion that slides between the gap that holds it all in place. I don’t know if that big squishy white rubber is available anywhere. When putting it up keep in mind where the two ends will meet so you can put them someplace thats unobtrusive.

Andy, if you just want to hold it down just use the 3M weatherstrip adhesive on a couple of spots, works good
