Trying to improve the A/C in my coach. Applying the Steve Clevenger's A/C Recirculation Modification, as listed on bdub's site. I cannot find the slip-on 90 degree 3" connection. Can anyone help out? Pointing to an actual listing on a web page is ok. I can order it, if I can find it. Brand name is Grentec. This is a non bayonet fitting.
It is very hot inside the coach. Hoping this will assist the HC12A in cooling the passenger interior.

I have learned that the hot water can overcome the cold air when the hot
water shut valve is not working.
I installed a manual cable controlled valve that works good for me.
I hate stopping to turn the valve on when it gets chilly at night.

Valterra #27675 has bayonet fitting. Looking for one without bayonet lugs. Looking for fitting Grentec #40926 90 degree elbow-hose connector. It is a smooth slip on fitting. After everything is re-installed, there is not enough room to swing the bayonet mount into locking position.

I started to take apart my dash to see why I have no dash lights. I realized one reason I get poor air flow from my AC. The connections to the dash have come loose from the dash. There is large gaps for the air to escape. I would check to make sure you do not have the same issue as it would reduce the air flow coming out of the vents.
I would like to know how well the mod works as next winter I will try to repair my AC. Today it does not work at all. It has thrown the belt. Last time it threw the belt it had a bad clutch on the compressor. Next winter I will redo the AC system to see if I can get it to work until then we either drive only in the morning or use the house AC while driving.

Finished the A/C modification. The only 90 degree fitting that I could find had a bayonet end. With the bayonet end, the fitting was about 1 inch too tall to allow the door to close over it. Examining the fitting, you could see that the bayonet end was a separate piece of ABS that was glued on to a smooth fitting. Split the glued fitting and pried the bayonet end off. Ended up with a perfect slip fitting, exactly what was needed. Now, the hood closes like OEM.
The only difference that I would make if I ever do this again (not likely), I would run the lower edge of the fitting that I attached to the A/C box level with the bottom of the interior shelf. When you open one up, you will see what I mean. It would decreased the clearance issue.
Only real suggestion, get all the parts first, before starting the project.

Tom,
How does your system work now? Do you see significant improvement?
How do the results of this modification differ from the mod that Ken H. and others have described that involves cutting holes in the firewall.
Seems that both mods serve the same function. Eliminating outside air while recirculating previously cooled cabin air.
Am I missing something? I need to improve my dash air function.
Thanks
