When we got our first GMC 3 years ago, folks started telling us that they knew where one was 'just like it'. It always turned out to be a Winnebago Brave or an old bread truck or something. So every time we'd see an old motorhome we'd say "Is that a GMC" and have a good laugh. (We're easily amused)
Yesterday we were driving up to Illinois for a family reunion and I saw an old coach and said "Isn't that a GMC?" Without a moments hesitation she responded "It's not up in the air with the hoods open and with the engine scattered all over. It's not a GMC." LOL!

Sure, because no other coach is worth fixing...
76 Birchaven - "Wicked Mistress" - New engine, trans, alum radiator, brakes, Sully airbags, fuel lines, seats, adult beverage center... those Coachmen guys were really thinking about us second hand owners by including that beverage center...

Can't wait to tell Ruth. Ours is up in the air with one hood open and tools scattered all over.
In the mini series, Fresno, Carol Burnett was a grape grower who owned a Rolls Royce. Parts of the engine were scattered along the drive in front of the estate. Each time she asked the chauffeur to take her to town he would say, "The Rolls is not working today." She was driven to town in the rear facing seat of an old station wagon.
When Ruth asks how the project is going I say, "The GMC is not working today."
If she asks when it will be fixed I happily tell her I am waiting for parts.
